Method to install Web folders on Windows 2000 :
To install the “Software Update for Web Folders” on windows 2000 you have to get rid of the verification of OS during install
Why ? because Microsoft has rectricted the setup install to just current operating system and Windows 2000 is considered now in 2009 nearly obsolete,
How to do that ?
Just install open source 7-zip software and unzip with 7-zip the .exe of Microsoft named Webfldrs-KB907306-ENU.exe in a temp folder of your windows 2000.
In this temp folder, you should find an install file named RosebudMUI.msi .
RosebudMUI.msi can be then installed on your Windows 2000.
Nota the other files of the temp folder are necessary so install it directly from the temp folder.
