ESET Antivirus Can Cause My Docs Online Certificate Error

In some cases ESET products installed on your computer can cause SSL certificate errors such as:
- You receive the error message: “sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial”
- My Docs Online is inaccessible
- Your browser claims our certificate is expired
This is not due to problems with the My Docs Online servers, it is caused by ESET software if you have their “SSL/TLS Protocol Filtering” enabled. That ESET feature actually inserts their own certificate with their own expiration etc.
This ESET documentation includes instructions on how to work around the ESET problem. Basically you disable and then (if desired) re-enable the SSL Scanning feature.
